Workflow

A workflow is a process used to test on one or more samples


Workflow ID

A workflow ID is a value used to track a specific workflow in the system

  • This ID is unique and cannot be reused

Workflow Step

A workflow step is a specific stage in a workflow process

Workflow Type

Workflow type is a variation of a process that is represented by a workflow

  • Often defined by the test type being performed

Workflow Mode

Workflow mode is a specific method for a workflow process

  • Standard
  • Sample Pooling

Plate

A plate is a grid shaped container that can be used to hold samples

A plate:

  • Can hold samples assigned to it
  • Can have 96 wells or 384 wells
  • Has a sample layout that can be exported to a device

Well Position

Well position represents the coordinates of a sample on a plate that can be occupied by a sample
