Sample collection


Collect Samples

  1. Navigate to the Collection page
  2. Click the Collect Sample button
  3. Enter the patient name or date of birth into the patient search field
  4. Select the patient from the patient search selection menu
  5. Review the patient information and confirm to continue
  6. (Optional) Ask the patient the questions shown and record their answers
  7. Select the test type ( RT-PCR or Antigen) and sample type (Saliva or NP Swab)
    • For Antigen tests, the sample ID will be automatically generated
  8. Review the sample information and confirm to complete collection

Once completed, the sample provided by this patient will be added to the correct order automatically, based on the location and date of the sample collection


Sample Collection Troubleshooting

If a patient does not show up in the collection search menu, it is probably because of one of the following reasons:

  • The patient does not have a patient profile in the system

    • The patient didn’t complete sign up
  • The patient name/DoB is incorrect

  • The patient’s consent (authorization) may be revoked

  • The patient’s screening status may be revoked
